Great to visit Hyde Aero Products in Dukinfield last Friday, who are a fantastic local business doing world-class work in aerospace engineering.
Hyde Aero is a key supplier to global giants like Airbus, Boeing, and BAE Systems, supporting both civil and defence aviation and are leading the sector thanks in a large part to their embrace of digital transformation and AI-driven manufacturing.
I had the chance to see their cutting-edge Digital Dashboard and learn about their Smart Connected Manufacturing Technologies (SCMT) that form part of a wider push to embed AI into UK manufacturing. It’s impressive to see how Hyde AP is tackling industry-wide challenges like system integration and digital skills shortages head-on.
Their partnership with IN4 Group, who specialise in digital skills training, and local colleges is helping to build the next generation of engineers. This kind of collaboration is vital to growing our advanced manufacturing base and strengthening our economic resilience.
