Greater Manchester has been trailblazing enhanced support partnerships to help small GM export businesses grow and it was great to be able to announce last week that the Enhanced Trade Partnership has been set up between the Department for Business & Trade and the Greater Manchester Combined Authority to spread this model nationally.
The scheme pools resources available at an international, national and regional level into one easy to access place to ensure new and existing exporters have the best tools at their disposal.
It will mean expert International Trade Advisors will combine resources with partners like the Growth Company and the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce. As the experts on the ground, they will work with businesses to help them set up and expand on their export growth plans.
I want even more small firms on the exporting ladder and help them grow and businesses in Tameside will be able to benefit from this initiative as well. If you are a business looking for support to get help exporting you can find more information at great.gov.uk and you can read my article in the MEN on the launch.
