I’ve been spending a lot of time this summer talking with colleagues about how Labour can best put pressure on the Government to take effective measures to tackle the escalating costs of living. It was a pleasure to speak to Sky News to highlight one such measure: tackling the disproportionate price hikes on customers on prepayment energy metres. Labour would stop there being a higher cap for those customers and give families relief now, ensuring no-one has zero access to electricity this winter, all fully costed.
