Jonathan Reynolds MP Proudly serving the communities of Stalybridge, Hyde, Mossley, Longdendale and Dukinfield.
Sunday was National #ThankYouDay. I made a visit up the road in Stalybridge to say a big thank you to Councillor Eleanor Wills, Tameside’s Executive lead for Adult Social Care and Population Health, for her part in co-ordinating the successful vaccination roll out across Tameside & Glossop, all while juggling her own family’s needs. A huge thank you to every single volunteer and worker for their contributions to the excellent local jab programme too – Eleanor will be passing on the thank you picture we made to the volunteers and staff on the frontline. As of close of play Sunday, 3 July, Tameside and Glossop had vaccinated 156,504 residents with the first dose of the Covid Vaccine and 122,502 with the second dose. I also wanted to say a personal thank you to Eleanor for bringing bread and milk to our doorstep when we were isolating and my wife was poorly – walking the talk on being there for one another in the community!
