VOTING has begun to find 'the best' south Asian restaurant in Tameside.
Every year the Tiffin Club of MPs award the Tiffin Cup to 'the best' south Asian restaurant in Britain.
The competition is based on nominations made by MPs from across the country.
And this year Jonathan Reynolds (MP for Stalybridge and Hyde), Andrew Gwynne (MP for Denton and Reddish) and David Heyes (MP for Ashton-under-Lyne) have joined forces to ensure at least one of the restaurants from the region is in the running for the top prize.
For the past two weeks diners have been nominating their favourite restaurant. The nominated restaurants are Aashiana, in Denton; Blu Spice, in Ashton-under-Lyne; Bower Fold Spice, in Stalybridge; Garlic, in Hyde; Red Rose, in Mossley; and Saheb Indian Restaurant, in Denton.
Now those nominees are being put to the public vote. You can cast your vote by clicking here
And the restaurant polling the highest number of votes from each of the three parliamentary constituencies will become nominees for the Tiffin Cup.
Voting will run until Tuesday 27 July.
