YOUNGSTERS from Dowson Primary School, in Hyde, took a 'walk on the wild side' when they opened their new nature trail.
The new trail features a willow tunnel, a story telling circle and even a bugs' hotel. And it is already being explored and enjoyed by the pupils at the school, on Marlborough Road.
Stalybridge and Hyde MP Jonathan Reynolds said: "I was given a tour of the new nature trail at Dowson Primary School by some of the pupils. And they were clearly very excited by the plants and the wildlife.
"Outdoor space can be just as important as traditional classrooms when it comes to the education of small children. And it is clear that teachers and pupils at Dowson are keen to ensure their site is used to its very best advantage.
"The younger children at the school have also been working hard to nurture their own vegetable patch. And it looked like they had been extremely successful."
