It was great to work from the Department for Business and Trade office in Salford yesterday. I want DBT to be a national government department that you can work in wherever you live in the UK. Greater Manchester makes a huge contribution to the UK economy. It is great that we have such a strong staff team in the city, but also that for the first time, we have Cabinet ministers who work from here, leading from the regions as well as Whitehall. I enjoyed the shorter commute from Stalybridge!
