This morning I met with the Chief Executives of several giants of the banking sector, along with Shadow Chancellor John McDonnell MP. As Brexit uncertainty peaks, it is even more important to have meaningful discussions with those at the helm of the financial services sector.

I was also extremely proud to announce that Labour would open Post Bank, a publicly owned bank for the many. The next Labour Government will open 475 Post Banks in the North West, revitalising our high streets, and bringing trusted, ethical, face to face banking back for consumers.

As Chair of the Financial Education for Young People APPG, we held our first oral evidence session, hearing from former looked after children about the support or lack thereof they received about money management whilst in care.

Other engagements include a roundtable discussion with TSB, a meeting with the Managed Funds Association, and a speech to a Labour in the City event at the Bank of England.
